About
Eagle Defense and Marksmanship is a veteran-owned firearms training company serving students of every experience level across New Mexico. We focus on small class sizes, personable one-on-one instruction, and competitive prices so every student gets real attention and leaves more confident and capable.
Training is led by owner and senior instructor Roy McClellan, who brings 24 years of Army experience in both Infantry and Military Intelligence. Roy also served as a Police Officer with the Albuquerque Aviation Police, and after 9/11 was recruited as an Agent for the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he played a role on the New Mexico Joint Terrorism Task Force. He holds instructor certifications with the USCCA and the New Mexico Department of Public Safety (NMDPS).
We offer New Mexico Concealed Carry certification, refresher and renewal training, an Introduction to Handgun course for new shooters, a Defensive Pistol program for license holders, and private one-on-one instruction tailored to your goals. Classroom instruction and live-fire qualification take place at Legacy Ranch Shooting Range in Edgewood, New Mexico.

Cancelation and Refund
Cancellation & Refund Policy Student Cancellations: Students must cancel their class registration at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class date. All approved cancellations will incur a 20% cancellation fee, deducted from the total amount paid. Rescheduling: Students may request to reschedule for a future class date. All reschedule requests made 48 hours or more before the scheduled class will incur a 15% rescheduling fee. Late Cancellations: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled class date. Students who fail to attend their class (“no‑shows”) are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling. Instructor Cancellations: In the rare event that Eagle Defense & Marksmanship must cancel or reschedule a class, students will be offered either: A full refund, or A no‑fee transfer to a future class date. Policy Agreement: By registering for any class, students acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
